• In this section you will learn about workspace, welcome Screen, CorelDraw interface.
• Understanding Create New Document Window options, dockers, panels, property bar, tool bar, status bar, menu bar etc.
• Learn about Setting up Page, using rulers, grids & guideline, navigating multi-page documentation

Let’s Start your first drawing

• In this section, students will learn and explore the basic illustration/drawing tools such as the Freehand tool, 3-Point Curve, Bezier, Pen & Polyline tool.
• And also exploring the curve and node editing enhancements,
• Learn to create basic illustrations and drawings. Students will familiarize themselves with the basics of CorelDRAW, such as creating and saving documents, using fonts, resizing, rotating and moving, skew objects, and getting help.

Using a template or create a two-page newsletter

• Learn to work with CorelDraw templates: open an existing template file, modify it and create their own templates. In creating a two-page newsletter, they will also learn how to use text in columns, flow text from column to column and page to page, wrap text around graphics and create drop caps. Recommended topics for use of Lorem Ipsum text, object or text replacements, and the difference between newsletters, blogs, and other social media in usage and design.

Working with Bitmap: Bitmap and vector effects

• In this section of studies, students will learn to work with bitmap and vector effects, layers, lenses and masks, while creating a collage of images and text on a chosen topic.
• Importing bitmaps, Cropping and resizing images, convert a vector object or art to Bitmap, learn different tips & tricks to Convert image to vector, Use of Bitmap effects- like page curl effect
• Students will learn the techniques to create a collage or graphic elements in CorelDRAW, Adobe Photoshop, or a combination of the two programs.

Letterhead and data merge

Students will explore design and automation processes as they create a personal letterhead suite that includes mailing labels. They will be introduced to the Print Merge/Data Merge capabilities of CorelDRAW. At the end of the module, they should be able to answer several essential questions about branding and auto numbers in labels etc

Using scripts and macros to create a calendar

• Students will learn to use a pre-recorded macro in CorelDRAW to create a 12-month pictorial calendar. They will also record a short macro using the Undo Docker in CorelDRAW.
