The Course is ideal for security personnel, law enforcement officers, firefighters, lifeguards, swimming coaches, health and fitness staff, corporate and retail employees and other lay responders.
Syllabus:
The Course provides hands-on practice in the skills of CPR and choking for adults, children and infants, including the use of barrier devices and pocket masks, and how to activate the emergency services.
A 17-page colour manual is provided to each participant for review before, during and after the course.
Course Materials:
The student will be required to pass a 15 question multiple choice test and successfully pass 3 skills tests before receiving a numbered Resuscitation Council of Southern Africa certificate of competence in CPR, choking and AED.

Medical First Aid Training is offered by Portship Maritime Training Solutions for all ages. Operating Procedures (SOP’s). Participants will engage in a variety of drills and receive training that will prepare them to take immediate action upon encountering any emergency.
First Aid Level 1: Teaches basic life support skills to assess and stabilize patients before emergency services arrive. First Aid Level 2: Builds on Level 1 skills and teaches more advanced first aid skills, such as AED use and spinal immobilization.
