Course Details

Dangerous Goods Regulations training programme aims to enable participants from various airlines, Non-scheduled Operators, packers, shippers, freight forwarders, GHA staff etc to support their organization to comply with ICAO instructions on Dangerous Goods and Indian Legal Regime with reference to DGR as directed by DGCA India.

 

Learning Objectives:

The Primary objective of dangerous goods training is safety.A trained person would be in a better position to appreciate the risks involved in the carriage of dangerous goods by air and deal them in accordance with the laid down proccesses and procedures, apply the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations correctly through understanding the legal aspects involved and apply general emergency procedures.

 

Course Structure:

The course shall be conducted based on the latest edition of ICAO Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air, IATA Training Workbooks, Civil aviation Requirements,Aircraft Rules and Acts issued by DGCA. Methodology: Instruction methodology will cover lectures, case studies, group discussions, demonstrations; action-oriented learning exercises,assignments and tests etc State of the art audio visual aids,including multimedia presentation will also be used during the course.High standard of instruction and examination is maintained.

 

Target Population:

Target population varies with Category of training programme conducted and is as follows: Category 9 – Passenger handling staff Category 10 – Flight Crew members, Load masters, Load Planners and flight operation officers and flight despatchers Category 11 – Crew Members (other than Flight crew members); and Category 12 – Security Staff who deal with the screening of passengers and their baggage, stores and cargo.
