Mark W. Osmond B.Voc. Ed, CD
Mark Osmond worked with Human Resources Development Canada as a training and development specialist for twenty three years before retiring in June 1995. He then established himself as a training and human resources consultant. He has facilitated training courses in the areas of supervisory and management skills, coping with and managing change, presentation and training skills, career planning, coaching and counselling. He has also worked as an employee assistance program counsellor and organizational development consultant.
Mark has a Bachelors Degree in vocational education, a dertificate in public administration and a certificate in adult education as well as graduate courses in educational psychology, guidance and counselling. Mark recently retired from the Canadian Armed Forces. He served in both the regular and reserve force for 29 years. He participated in numerous leadership and management courses during his career.
He is presently President of the 36 Newfoundland Service Battalion Association, a director with the Army Cadet League of Canada and past president of the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Professional Trainers.
Students will gain a firm understanding of how to resolve workplace conflict in both unionized and non-unionized environments.
In this course students will learn the importance of separating the person from the problem and skills that will help them discover previously unimagined possibilities for resolution
