Alliance Française de Perth provides the widest range of French courses to suit all levels and needs in Perth. You will benefit from qualified native French teachers, small group classes and a convivial French atmosphere.
The DELF (Diplome d'Etudes en Langue Française) and the DALF (Diplome Approfondi de Langue Française) are diplomas issued by the French Ministry of Education.
They are designed to assess the communicative skills of a candidate in a real situation, using authentic documents, and to evaluate know-how (writing a letter, asking for information, exchanging opinions) rather than linguistic and formal grammatical knowledge.
They are divided into six independent diplomas corresponding to the six-level scale of the Common European Reference Framework for Languages (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2). This means that candidates can register for the examination of their choice, according to their level. At each level, 4 skills are evaluated: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Each diploma is internationally recognized and valid for life. Note that holders of DELF B2 or DALF diplomas are exempt from language entrance examinations in French universities. There are also special versions of DELF diplomas for adolescents and children. These are structured in the same way as the adult versions, but the theme used is chosen to suit children and adolescent candidates.
