Dental Oral Hygienist

It is a dental allied professional who focuses on preventative oral health, primarily on oral hygiene procedures. Dental Oral Hygienists are responsible for removing plaque and cleaning and polishing teeth with scaling devices and a spinning polisher. They administer fluoride and sealants to prevent decay, record medical and dental histories and take and process dental x-ray images. Additionally, they assess patients, get a medical history, and update the patient's file.
