Diploma in Early Childhood Education

This program provides students with strong foundation through innovative and experiential method to ensure a balance between the theoretical and practical knowledge in relation to early childhood education so as  to meet the challenges of today’s competitive world.

Diploma in Early Childhood Education (DECE) is a two- year full-time program, that trains students to develop understanding of young children’s physical and mental needs together with their social, cognitive, creative and emotional development.

Upon completing the program, graduates are capable of managing children from baby to six years old, facilitating their learning while practising pedagogical approaches. The curricula interweaves knowledge with practical experience and relevant skills, cultivating learners with the confidence and a wide range of skills required of careers in the industry, such as interpersonal, social, and problem-solving skills.

Entry Requirements

• SPM / O-Level: A pass in SPM / O-Level with a minimum of three (3) credits in any subject, or its equivalent
• UEC: A pass in Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with a minimum of three (3) credits in any subject, or its equivalent
• Certificate: A Certificate in Early Childhood Education or in any field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 or its equivalent
• Other: Other equivalent qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government
• English Competency requirement for International Student: Achieve a minimum score of 5.0 in IELTS or its equivalent.
