This program offers a balance of theory and practice, preparing students for a nursing career. Assessment methods include assignments, tests, case studies, presentations, and clinical assessments.
Students gain hands-on experience at Assunta Hospital. Upon completion, they become Registered Nurses accredited by the Malaysian Nursing Board, opening doors to various healthcare roles.
Post Basic (Specialization) Courses
Post basic courses (specialization courses) can be pursued in government hospitals or in Tun Tan Cheng Lock College of Nursing
Upon completion of Diploma in Nursing, scholarship is also given for post basic (specialization) course
The Tun Tan Cheng Lock College of Nursing, also known as Assunta College of Nursing, began in 1961 as the first private nursing institute in the country. Over the years, it has evolved from a single classroom to a modern, well-equipped facility. The nclex-rn exam is a standardized test that each state’s board of nursing uses to determine if it’s safe for a person to begin practicing as an entry-level nurse. The nclex-rn is used for graduates of registered nursing (rn) programs.
The core of MSU's Diploma in Nursing programme is the integration of practice and care aspect of nursing. As a student of nursing, you will be involved in comprehensive learning experience involving classroom work, activities in simulation wards, practical room and skills lab.
