The Diploma of Mental Health is a professional accreditation that focuses on the skills required to provide care for people with mental health issues. Because this work requires a person-centred approach, our teaching will prepare you to confidently provide counselling, referral, advocacy, and education/health promotion services.

You will learn how to assist a person aged 65+ who may be experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis until appropriate professional help is received or the crisis resolves, using a practical, evidence-based action plan.

An Accredited Youth Mental Health First Aider is someone who has completed the 14hr YMHFA Course and completed the online assessment at the end of the course. This accreditation remains valid for 3 years.
