What will I learn?
You provide your own materials for this course. For your first class you must bring a sewing kit and some fabric to practice with.
Please note this course is not suitable for any student with no experience of using a sewing machine. Those requiring experience on a sewing machine should book onto the Basic Sewing class.
This class is also only suitable for beginners to Dressmaking. If you have already attended you may be suited to move on to courses offered at our Cardonald campus.

The Advanced Course runs in 6 week blocks. Your sewing capabilities and understanding of how fabrics work with specific assignments will progress and develop. Your proficiency in mastering a variety of techniques will improve, and we’ll work on a range of projects to suit your creative desires.
Suitable for absolute-never-seen-a-sewing-machine-before-beginners and returning sew-ers  alike our Beginners Sewing Course is the perfect way to get crafty! We focus on building confidence, teaching you useful, transferable skills all in a super friendly and sociable environment.
Our one-to-one tuition classes caters to all needs. Whether you are an absolute beginner interested in learning how to use a sewing machine or a more experienced sewer in search of sessions to refresh and develop your existing skills or complete a project, we can help.
Sewing classes are offered by Fabric Focus for all ages and skill level. You will only ever be served by people who, like you, are dress-makers and quilters. Our advice is backed by practical experience of fabric and its ways. We believe this makes us fairly rare in the fabric business.
