Conveniently located just a 10 minute walk from Leeds city centre in a converted textile mill, we are easily accessible and provide the perfect backdrop for activities ranging from tap-dancing to photography, with all the facilities you need to feel at home.
Our team is headed up by founder Katie who is a trained professional dancer and teacher.
Since opening in 2009, we’ve welcomed to the studios a wide variety of dance styles from belly dancing to break dancing, opened our doors to people of all abilities, and welcomed clients from the BBC, West End Theatre companies, local businesses, party planners and wedding couples, who have used the space for a wide range of activities.
Katie and her team of top class freelance dance teachers also take the benefits of dance out to schools, colleges, universities, businesses and organisations.

Street Dance (may also be referred to as 'Commerical' 'Break Dance' or 'Hip Hop' is a popular form of dance that is often featured in Music Videos. Current, popular music is used complemented by high energy, fun moves.
Senior Hip Hop classes are offered by Dudman Academy of Performing Arts & Fitness. All of our classes are held in our very own fully equipped dance studios, complete with a sprung floor, ballet barres, and mirrors. We encourage all of our students to be creative, and individual, whilst working well
Upside Down Dance Academy offers various street and cultural dance classes for Adults, teenagers and children for all ages and dance levels from Rookie to Star (beginner to advance).
These classes are for all ages where we cover various styles of dance such as street dance and hip hop. DTA Medal test examinations are available.
