Who is it for?

The EAT Level 4 course is designed for practising trainers, new trainers and assessors who would like to achieve the latest industry standard high level training qualification.

There is a requirement that all interested parties can meet the practice requirements, including the observed and assessed practice requirements, of the qualification.

How do I apply to attend an EAT Level 4 course ?

Contact Petals Training by telephone or e—mail. An EAT Level 4 trainer will then inform you of the course requirements, and if you believe the course is suitable for you, the EAT Level 4 trainer will then ask you to complete a comprehensive pre-course questionnaire.

The trainer will then review the pre-course questionnaire and if required , a face to face meeting will be requested. The trainer may also make telephone contact to request further information. If the information provided meets the course requirements, you will be offered a place on the course.

What is the course content for EAT Level 4?

The EAT Level 4 course has 3 sections which need to be successfully completed to gain the full qualification.

The 3 sections are listed below take approximately 6 months to complete:

  • Mandatory and Optional Written Assessment

  • Observations

  • Teaching Practice

The course consists of 6 days training which will cover the Mandatory requirements of the course. The Optional assessment requirements, Observations and Teaching Practice will be discussed in detail on day 6 of the course.

Course delegates will be required to complete the Mandatory and Optional written assignments after the completion of the 6 days training. The course trainer will agree an appropriate timescale with the course delegates for the written assignments to be completed.

There will be a requirement for the course trainer to arrange 3 observations with course delegates after the 6 days training is completed. The trainer will also schedule a “portfolio day” with all course delegates to review the Teaching Practice requirements
