This course is suitable for students who want to work as electricians in the building services engineering sector. This course is for you if you want to work in the domestic electrical installation industry e.g. wiring socket and light circuits in houses. This qualification allows you to build on previous experience, skills and knowledge to gain a qualification at an intermediate level.
This course is suitable for anyone whose work requires a basic understanding of the safe use of electricity (i.e. plant operatives, maintenance engineers, caretakers). Although not expected to carry out electrical duties, an understaning of how to work safely with electrical equipment is required.
This 15 day domestic electrical installer course (DEI) runs over 3 consecutive weeks and is the ideal starting point if you want to become a domestic electrical installer, are working in a related trade or would like to understand more about the electrics in your own home.
