This course is suitable for students who want to work as electricians in the building services engineering sector. This course does not make students fully qualified electricians but allows them to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career progression in the electro-technology sector.

North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College (NWSLC) is a large Further Education college offering a wide range of full-time, part-time, Higher Education and Apprenticeship programmes over six campuses based within Warwickshire and Leicestershire.
The College also works with over 600 businesses across a wide range of sectors – working with organisations to determine their ‘training needs analysis’. We then design a programme to match your (the employer’s) requirements.
The core courses are mandatory modules to fulfil the requirements of new starters and any learner to obtain their first HERS card, in addition to the Found 01 training requirements.
This course completes the required element to underpin an apprenticeship in electrical installation. It is a valuable course which increases employability within the Building Services industry.
All electrical installation work must be carried out to the relative standards of the latest amendment of the Wiring Regulations.
This course replaces the 17th edition from July 2018 onwards. All electrical installations are now to comply with BS 7671:2018. This course is for practising electricians and allied professionals who need to update their understanding of the IET Wiring Regulations.
