This course covers the basic awareness of the hazards associated with the use of electricity. Learner objectives for this course are to: understand the basics of electrical safety, electrical concepts, hazards and controls, voltage testing procedures, effects on the human body, PPE and best practices.

Step and Touch Potential
Effects of Electricity on the Human Body
Controls – Including Limit of Approach

Best Practices – Including Job Planning, Safety Programs, and Equipment Maintenance
Once you pass your course you can print your certificate. This is valid for 36 months (3 years).
You may still require additional workplace specific training by your employer.
You must receive a minimum of 75% on your final quiz in order to pass your course. There is no time limit. You have 2 attempts at your quiz. Your final score will be printed on your certificate.

In this section the trainee will learn the pre-shift requirements for a Mobile Elevated Work Platform, safe work procedures, emergency procedures and will be introduced to the variety of types of Aerial Work Platforms.
To keep the worker safe, extra precaution must be taken – this is called Lockout Tagout, or also know as LOTO procedures.
