Embroidered Appliqué Baby Quilt

Create this super cute baby quilt using embroidered appliqué blocks stitched in the hoop. You will be shown how to create the blocks and how to put them together to make a quilt or play mat. You will be given a USB stick with 10 designs on to take away so that you can stitch more blocks out at home or maybe even make a matching cushion!

For embroidery software owners there will be a demo on how to create the appliqué blocks and filler blocks so that you can make the quilt even bigger!

Requirements:

• Selection of machine embroidery threads – 40wt
• White bobbin fill
• Polymesh fusible stabiliser
• Machine embroidery needle size 75
• Embroidery scissors
• Hoop 150 x 150 or 240 x 150

Fabrics:

• White, cream white-on-white or a very pale colour for the background of the appliqué blocks
• Small pieces of cotton fabric or fat quarters for the appliqué fabric (see image sample for inspiration)
• 50cm cotton fabric for sashing and binding
• 60cm fusible volume fleece or wadding of your choice
