Completion Requirements
100% attendance, skills demonstration, and 75% min. passing grade on written exam
Certification
3-year certification in Emergency First Aid, CPR Level A, C, or HCP, and AED
Recertification
Where provincial/territorial legislation allows, 3-4 hours; includes CPR Level C.

This course meets Saskatchewan Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is the help provided to a person developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. Just as physical first aid is administered to an injured person before medical treatment can be obtained, MHFA is given until appropriate treatment is found.
First aid is the assistance given to any person suffering a sudden illness or injury, with care provided to preserve life, prevent the condition from worsening, or promote recovery.
This 2-day program is designed to help rescuers recognize and respond to life-threatening emergencies and those with the potential to become so if not treated.
