Scubaversity is a Padi 5-star career development centre. We offer courses from open water through to instructor development and staff instruction. Our staff complement of our own course director, 9 staff instructors, and 30+ instructors allow us to give exceptionally personalized and individual training focusing on teaching diving.
We are the first dive center in Africa and the second in the world to be awarded the dan hira (hazard identification and risk assessment) certification. Strict safety standards are adhered to and the center has the necessary emergency equipment available to handle any situation. The instructors and divemasters are trained according to the latest highest padi standards.
The open water Lifeguard Award is the standard qualification required to perform lifeguard duties on rivers, lakes, and dams, be those in a voluntary or professional role.
Our lifeguard course offers comprehensive training to prepare you for the demanding LA Examination requirements.
Swift Water Rescue training is offered by Rescu-Life Africa. Our courses are covered by our various SAQA and SAESI accreditations; SAESI has numerous memorandums of understandings (MOU’s) with the neighboring SADC countries and IFSAC accredited courses are recognised internationally.
At False Bay, we pride ourselves on being a club that is always at the top of our game. Hence, our training sessions aim to keep our lifeguards both in good shape for the voluntary duty season and fit and conditioned for the competitive aspect of lifesaving.
At LSLC we offer comprehensive training to prepare our Juniors and Seniors for the demanding JLA and LA examination requirements. The training is in line with Lifesaving South Africa’s training requirements and includes a broad range of theoretical topics
