Emergency Response Planning for Commercial Premises:
As today’s commercial buildings get taller and taller, with more complex systems; the stake for building owner and building management increases exponentially when faced with the legislative accountability and statutory responsibilities of the occupants’ fire and life safety concerns.
Apart from ensuring that all building occupants can exit the building premise safety within good reasonable time, the legislation also require the building owner to put in place an effective emergency response plan to handle the emergency situation such as fire, tremor, or even a “white-powder” letter. Hence, an effective emergency response planning is paramount.
