Description

This course is the initial training for enter & work in confined spaces, the course is suited for a person that has no experience with working in confined spaces & has never held a statement of attainment for entre & work in confined spaces. 

This nationally accredited course is designed to provide participants with the skills & knowledge to safely: Complete a confined space risk assessment, work safely in a confined space, select & correctly use PPE, understand procedures for avoiding exposure to hazardous substances, engulfment, flammable or explosive conditions, administer CPR, correctly use a fire extinguisher understand safe entry & exit, be aware of emergency procedures & clean up the site 

 

Prerequisites

To undertake this course participants will need:

  • To be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • A (USI)-Unique Student Identifier
  • To demonstrate the ability to speak and write English to a basic level & have basic numeracy skills
  • Photo identification (drivers licence, passport or proof of age card)

Licence & Assessment Information

  •  Participants will be required to complete a series of workplace assessment tasks to demonstrate industry skills and knowledge described in the units of competency included in this course.

The assessment will include:

  • Demonstration of relevant knowledge through conversation practical and oral/ written assessment

  • Upon satisfactory completion of this course, participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment, recognised within the Australian Qualifications Framework and issued under authority of the National Vocational Education and Regulator Act 2011.
