The Safety Network (Africa) (Pty) Ltd started business in the year 2000, with health and safety training as its main focus.
In 2001 the focus shifted to a broader spectrum of products and services, which included health and safety legal compliance audits, consultancy work, and incident investigations. During this time we also obtained approval from the Department of Labour to provide first aid training in levels 1, 2 and 3.
In 2003, SafeNet Africa was approved by the Department of Employment and Labour as an Approved Inspection Authority for Occupational Health and Hygiene.
SafeNet Africa has over the years grown in stature and has established itself as a leading service provider in the field of occupational health and safety.
In 2014 SafeNet Africa became the third Approved Inspection Authority in South Africa to obtain SANAS Accreditation in SANS 17020, for measuring noise, hazardous chemical substances, lead, asbestos and evaluation of ventilation systems for hazardous biological agents.
Since then we have expanded our services in occupational health and hygiene and one of our major focus areas currently is asbestos management. We have established a fully functional laboratory to identify and count asbestos fibres.
SafeNet Africa will continue to provide products and services to meet the health and safety needs of industry.
The Safety Network (Africa) (Pty) Ltd, an FP&M SETA Accredited Training Institution, with Accreditation Number: FPM-2******045, has competent staff standing by that can assist in providing health and safety training. Our facilitators are well qualified, skilled and experienced in the field of health and safety.
This unit standard will enable the learner to describe the requirements applicable to a permit to work in terms of hot work; cold work; confined space entry and lockout systems in a work area. The permit to work covers permit issuing and permit holding and the separate responsibilities.
Whatever the nature of your business, it is likely to involve the stacking and storage of goods and materials. Every year accidents occur while goods are being stacked or de-stacked and put into or taken out of storage. Many of these accidents are serious—some are fatal.
Fall Arrest Systems Basic course is offered by Riverport Training Academy. Riverport Training Academy offers Health and Safety Management courses to interested candidates and companies. We are fully accredited by MERSETA, EWSETA, SAMSA and Department of Labour.
Working at Heights training is offered by QTE Training & Consulting. This is a 2 in 1 Course – Working at heights & fall protection – learn to explain & perform fall arrest techniques when working at heights.
After this training session, staff will be aligned to your company’s emergency procedure and will be able to follow and give clear instructions during an emergency. We take it for granted that staff are aware of the process to follow in an emergency.
