This program is offered in Seneca's hybrid delivery format with some courses available in Seneca's flexible delivery format. Some coursework is online and some must be completed in person. Students will need to come on campus to complete in-person learning requirements.
Many organizations host or participate in a variety of meetings and events, large and small, throughout the year. When properly executed, these meetings and events can deliver a tremendous return on investment in terms of exposure, education, marketing, sales or other objectives.
In this Foundations course we will explain the event management profession, learn about the various types of events, understand what is involved in the planning process (and just how little of it involves pretty linens and flowers!) and finally, how to research and implement protocol for an event.
A diploma in Event Management is a challenging and exciting professional qualification. Throughout this program, students will acquire expertise in marketing, accounting, management, and entrepreneurial skills.
Its objective is to expose students to a broad range of knowledge and processes, administration skills, and practical tools that will assist them in dealing with situations within a conference and event planning-related career.
