EWP Refresher Training

Already an EWP pro. Great news! But who said you can’t teach an old dog new tricks. The EWP Refresher course will be a great way to brush up on your practical skills as well as update your knowledge of health and safety surrounding the machines.

So long as you already hold the Unit Standards, you can carry out a refresher course within 3 years of the initial training course you attended. The on-day course is designed to deliver essential safety and compliance information. Attendees will gain theoretical knowledge and practical skills in:

• Health and Safety Legislative Requirements
• Types of Elevated Work Platforms (EWP’s)
• EWP Compliance Requirements
• Hazard identification, risk assessment and controls
• Fall arrest harness inspection, fitting and use
• Conduct pre and post operational checks
• Safe Operation of EWP
• Emergency procedures, Rescue Plans
• Theory & Practical assessments, observation and demonstration.

Upon successful completion of the course, we take care of the rest! Your Unit Standards will be sent to The Skills Organisation who will place these on your NZQA Record of Achievement. You will then receive a brand new Silvercard EWP Operator ID License as proof of training and competency which will last you another 3 years.
