Excellence in English STAR

Learning Point's Excellence in English STAR is tailored for the rigour of the Integrated Programme (IP). It prepares students for curriculum at the pre-tertiary level, which requires students to have mastery of essential skills in managing complex question types.

By the end of this programme, students will be empowered with the competence and confidence to take on the demands of the GCE ‘A’ levels.

This course exposes students to a variety of societal genres, broadening their perspectives on global and local issues alike.

They will also develop analytical and critical thinking skills, enabling them to answer exam questions with precision and ease. Students will also hone their abilities to present their opinions on a given issue in a clear and concise manner.

Through various in-class activities, students will appreciate the diverse viewpoints of their peers and the wider community, attaining a holistic view on current global issues.

This increase in awareness and depth of understanding, enables students to critically assess each issue and elaborate their standpoints through well-articulated arguments, priming themselves to excel in the national examinations.
