This weekly 1 hr. class introduces students to Basic Sewing using the Kids Can Sew Workbook Level 1 for Girls/Boys or Teens. while working through the Kids Can Sew Workbook students will complete a project approximately every 4 weeks.
This course is designed for beginners and intermediate sewists. You'll learn how to draft the basic blocks for a perfect-fit garments starting from body measurements.
Students learn the fundamentals of fashion design, including tailoring, flat pattern drafting, draping, textiles and computer pattern drafting, from instructors who have worked first-hand in the business.
This course will teach how to make the building blocks of a great wardrobe – pants, blouse, skirt, dress, and shirt – as well as learn how to choose and sew garments that flatter your figure and reflect your personal style.
