Prerequisite for this class if PSC (Lifeboatmen):
Subjects for this class are the standard STCW sections that are required by the USCG, Intro, Start-Up/Shutdown, High and Low Speed, Weather, Mechanical Systems, etc.

This 4-hour course is designed to provide a general introduction to maritime security and raise awareness of security issues when alongside, at anchor and at sea and recognition of security threats.
This course will also be of value to others who need First Aid and CPR training who may or may not operate vessels on the water who may not be seeking U.S. Coast Guard licenses, or whose experience is not up to the minimum requirements established under ideal conditions.
The Basic Safety Training course provides the necessary training to meet the Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping (STCW 2010) code, tables A-VI/1-1 through A-VI/1-4 as required by the USCG and the IMO.
