Fire and Safety

Fire and safety is a bachelor of science course. This course focuses on areas such as fire safety, industrial safety infrastructure management and planning. Industrial safety is a very vast field. It consists of sub-branches such as – fire safety, safety engineering, environmental legislation, safety management, pollution, risk analysis etc.

This course can be pursued by students who have passed 12th stream. Those who are completed 3 year diplamo in any discipline can also be eligible to join in 2 nd year b.Sc. Fire and safety (lateral entry) the course is 3 years long. Each academic year is divided into 2 semester. In total, the academic program is made up of 6 semesters.

Duration

For b.Sc,. The course shall extend over a period of three years under semester pattern.
The course shall extend over a period of one year under semester pattern
Admission is based on the marks in the qualifying examination.

Eligibility

The student must pass in the higher secondary examination (hsc) conducted by the government of tamil nadu, or an examination accepted as equivalent thereto by the syndicate for admission to b.Sc in fire & industrial safety management.
