Course Details

This course provides students with an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a fire and emergency warden, as well as factors involved in the safe evacuation of a workplace or site in an emergency.

It is good practice to have a number of staff in your workplace who are dedicated fire emergency wardens and can assist other staff members and visitors should an emergency occur. Some organisations such as childcare centres, schools, hospitals and hotels need to have these in place by law under the Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ) Regulations 2018.

This 4-hour course provides students with an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a fire and emergency warden in accordance with legal requirements, as well as factors involved in the safe evacuation of a workplace or site in an emergency.

MediTrain can organise both fire extinguisher and fire safety training for all of your staff or a selected group of employees who will be team leaders or wardens in the event of a fire.
