It is good practice to have a number of staff in your workplace who are dedicated fire emergency wardens and can assist other staff members and visitors should an emergency occur. Some organisations such as childcare centres, schools, hospitals and hotels need to have these in place by law under the Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ) Regulations 2018.
