Course Overview:
This course is for anyone who works in a workplace in Queensland. The course is designed to equip building occupants with the skills and knowledge to prevent and respond to an emergency situation on their workplace. This course meets the requirements of the Building Fire Safety Regulation 2008 for general evacuation and first response evacuation.
Course Content:
Fire principles includes fire triangle, classes of fires
Fire extinguisher training (including fire blankets) including types of extinguishers, maintenance and inspection, practical/simulated scenarios and spill kits (optional).
Certification:
This is an accredited training course. Upon successful completion of the course participants will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment in the following competencies:

This unit covers the competency required to implement the emergency response specified in the workplace emergency procedures or specified by a person at a higher level in the emergency control organisation.
Fire Safety training is a crucial element in your defence against the threat of fire. Once you have your fire protection equipment in place, you cannot risk overlooking the need for training staff who would be first responders in the event of a fire.
To provide participants with the practical skills, knowledge and understanding of roles and responsibilities when dealing with emergencies in the workplace and to assist in developing or reviewing Emergency Plans.
