A learner credited with this unit standard will be capable of identifying, containing, preventing and extinguishing different types of fires by operating basic firefighting equipment.
With advanced equipment and techniques, we further develop the fire fighting skills of employees and learners.
At the conclusion of this course you the Fire Fighter should be able to have sufficient knowledge to assess a situation, remaining as calm as possible, identifying possible dangers and priorities and provide immediate and appropriate action for the situation.
This course runs over 3 days - the first two days we discuss the SANS 10139 Code of Practice in some detail, and on the 3rd day wrap the course up with a further discussion of the SANS 10139 Standard with particular emphasis on the Commissioning and Servicing requirements.
This fire fighting training courses (level 1) imbues learners with the requisite skills and knowledge to identify, contain, extinguish and prevent different types of fires by operating basic fire fighting equipment.
