Fire safety features within the building
Fire doors, escape routes, assembly point
Smoke detectors
Identification and use of portable fire fighting equipment
Fire precautions within the workplace:
The importance of good housekeeping
Evacuation procedures, the need to cooperate, consequences of non-cooperation
Activities and role of marshals/wardens
Practical work – evacuation drill / use of extinguishers (as requested by client)
Useful hints and tips in the event of fire

Our history
PHSC was established in 1990 as "Personnel Health & Safety Consultants Limited" to promote our expertise in people safety rather than process safety. Over the years as we have grown into part of a larger group, it has come to mean Professional Help, at Sensible Cost, which reflects the services that we offer.

This course is designed for all members of staff to gain a greater understanding of fire safety in the workplace.
The WorkSafe Fire Marshall course is a programme of learning delivered over a minimum of 4 hours and is designed to ensure the designated workplace fire warden or marshal has adequate knowledge to undertake their duties safely and effectively.
Candidates will gain a greater awareness of the risks of fire and the control measures to prevent it occurring, additionally they will have the ability to manage others.
This qualification is intended for those that are undertaking the role of a fire marshal in a workplace. The qualification builds on the QNUK Level 1 Award in Fire Awareness at Work (RQF) and includes safe evacuation and personal emergency evacuation plans (PEEPS).
The key to avoiding fire within your business is understanding factors and behaviours within your business and carrying out a thorough assessment to minimise risk. This course will equip learners with the knowledge and skills to avoid the risk of fire in your business.
