The 20-hour course examines every aspect of fire protection management in high-rise structures through intense review of aspects of Local Law #5 of 1973 and the 2014 FDNY Code. Special emphasis is placed on the Fire Code Chapter 4-Emergency Planning and Preparedness and Chapter 9- Fire Protection.

Fire Extinguisher Training is offered by Safety Solutions, LLC. Safety Solutions, LLC provides comprehensive safety courses. By focusing on the OSHA, ANSI, NIOSH, and other general industry regulations, we give you the best training experience possible.

In our hands-on training, your employees will learn how to properly identify the classes of fire, their priorities during a fire, which type of extinguisher to use on each class of fire, the limitations of each extinguisher, when not to attempt to fight a fire.

This course satisfies the Advanced Firefighting training requirements of STCW Code Section A-VI/3 and 46 CFR 11.201(h), and 11.303(a). Upon meeting the minimum standard of competence in advanced firefighting, a trainee will be competent to take command, organize and train fire parties.
