The Level 2 Award in Fire Safety is aimed at anyone who is involved in the management of fire safety or fire prevention in the workplace. This includes managers, supervisors, team leaders and fire marshals (or wardens).
Course Content Includes:
Hazards and risks associated with a fire in the workplace
How the products of combustion present risks to health, and how a fire can spread.
How fire risk is controlled in the workplace
How to create a fire risk assessment and how to prevent or extinguish a fire using the principles of the fire triangle model.
The principles and practice of fire safety management at work including the duties of employers and employees when it comes to fire safety and creating a practical evacuation plan.
Role of the nominated fire warden including what to do when a fire warden is away from their designated area of responsibility when an alarm is raised.
