A warden is responsible for fulfilling a number of duties within their workplace, most of which involve the identification of fire risk to ensure the commercial or industrial premises is sufficiently protected from fire and prepared should the worst happen.
In addition to the identification fire risk through regular assessments, fire wardens must also be able to devise and implement an appropriate escape plan in the event of a fire or drill. Fire warden training is designed to help wardens in all companies fulfill these roles, whilst giving them the knowledge they require to remain calm and collected during a fire.
This calmness will not only allow wardens to make tactical decisions in high pressure situations but also instill confidence and clarity in fellow employees to make the evacuation procedure even more effective.

This course is designed for employees who want a developed and in-depth knowledge of fire safety. It will give comprehensive knowledge of more specific fire safety roles in the workplace that can help manage the risk of fire, for example fire wardens, marshals, and stewards.
The main outcome of this training course is to provide you with the knowledge to carry out the functions of a fire marshal. Please note, this course also contains all of the content in the Basic Fire Awareness and Fire Extinguisher courses.
When you attend our 2 days Fire Safety Marshal/Warden Trainer’s course you will become an instructor and be able to train employees to become effective fire wardens or marshals.
Delegates will safely extinguish a real fire as part of their training. We find this a vitally important component. Delegates have an increased confidence to quickly and efficiently tackle a fire that could otherwise threaten your business and staff if left to burn.
The half-day Fire Marshal training course covers the role of the designated fire marshal (also known as a fire warden).
