This course is designed to teach participants how to properly use a fire extinguisher and provide them with an understanding of how fires start and grow.
Participants receive instruction in areas such as duties and responsibilities of an OSSA Fire Watch, what is meant by “hot work,” correct record keeping, use of safety equipment, emergency preparedness, how fire develops and transfers heat, fire suppression.
Theoretical and practical training provides participants with the basic knowledge and skills necessary to safely use a portable fire extinguisher.
Hot Work Fire Watch and Fire Extinguishers course has been developed for those with an occupational requirement to be trained to manage, supervise, and perform hot work activities.
