Canadian Red Cross offers comprehensive First Aid and CPR courses that are designed to equip individuals with the necessary skills to respond to emergencies at home or work.

Our courses are in compliance with provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and include the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.

WSIB (Workplace Safety and Insurance Board) Compliant.

Standard First Aid & CPR

Our Standard First Aid & CPR course is a comprehensive two-day course that offers first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills. The course is designed for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. The course includes the following topics:

Preparing to respond
The EMS system
Check, Call, Care
Airway emergencies
Breathing and Circulation emergencies
First aid for respiratory and cardiac arrest
Wound care
Head and spine injuries
Bone, muscle and joint injuries
Sudden Medical Emergencies
Environmental Emergencies
Poisons (includes opioid poisoning)

The course duration is 13-14 hours teaching time. We also offer a blended Standard First Aid course that includes 8 hours of online learning and 5.5-7.5 hours of teaching time.

Certification

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a 3-year certification in Standard First Aid, CPR Level A or C, and AED. We also offer recertification courses for Standard First Aid that take 6.5-7.5 hours and include CPR Level A or C and AED.

Comprehensive Guide to First Aid & CPR (eBook)
Standard First Aid CPR A/C – Online (Blended only)
Standard First Aid certificate (digital certificate issued upon successful completion)

Standard Child Care First Aid And CPR Course

We also offer a Standard Child Care First Aid and CPR Course that focuses on childhood injuries and illness. The course duration is 16 hours teaching time.

We are internationally trained medical doctors, had worked in different European Western countries and others around the world.Having the knowledge, professional expertise and experience that is unlikely to be matched by any other profession concerning matters of First Aid.

We have worked in ER, been attached to adult and pediatric medical and surgical teams including first call ‘crash’ teams that manage cardiac arrest.

We do realize that first aid is unlikely to be your ultimate priority – until you need your life saving, or the life of your loved one, then pretty well everything else will be insignificant. We know that!

As medical doctors, there is nothing worse than losing life for the want of a little knowledge and application – and that is why we are passionate and want to give you teaching that you can remember.

First aid also requires immediate care to people who suffer from medical problems like Diabetic emergencies, Seizures. Therefore, we are incomparable for the knowledge and the skills needed.

We are here to teach you first aid according to the guidelines of The Canadian Red Cross, not to offer medical advice. But we can impart information to you.
