Course Details

Over a 3 day period, delegates will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of first aid situations, including: assessing an incident, managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, heart attacks, choking, head and spinal injuries, fractures, anaphylaxis and more.

Who should attend?

Any person who is or may be appointed as a first aider in the workplace.  Anyone who needs to develop the skills and knowledge required for that role.

Such as,

It is essential to participate in exercises such CPR and AED use. You need to be in good health and not have any issues that might prevent them from taking part in the practical assessments.

Minimum age to attend is 16 years, with a minimum Level 1 in Literacy and Numeracy to equip them for multiple choice examination at the end of the course.

Candidates may wish to progress to the 5 day First Response Emergency care on successful completion of this course.

  • persons who participate in voluntary and/or community activities

  • Persons who may need to perform basic first aid in a range of situations.

Qualification

You will learn the underpinning knowledge, practical administration of safe, prompt and effective first aid in the workplace.

You will gain an understanding of current legislation and the recommendations from the Resuscitation Council (UK).

Successful delegates will receive certification and ID cards which will be valid for a period of 3 years.
