ECA Ottawa is proud to partner with SP Safety Solutions to provide world-class First Aid & CPR Training. Courses take place September 17th and 18th, 2024 from 5:00pm – 8:00pm.
SP Safety Solutions offers WSIB Certified First Aid Training focusing on injuries and materials typically found on construction sites. They also include the role of the Ministry of Labour as it applies to accident scenes and reporting requirements.
The goal of first aid is to give a sick or injured worker the best possible care before professional medical attention can be provided. This care should prevent further injury or illness, promote recovery, and reduce severity by providing an immediate and effective response.
Ottawa’s Electrical Contractors Association (Ottawa ECA) was founded in 1964 as a not-for-profit association.
Ottawa’s ECA is the voice of nearly to 200 electrical contractors engaged in the industrial, commercial, institutional, residential and service markets in the Greater Ottawa Area.
As one of 11 regional associations that make up the Electrical Contractors’ Association of Ontario (ECAO), Ottawa’s ECA speaks on behalf of its members on issues regarding electrical contracting, construction legislation, health and safety policies, education, government relations, labour relations and the development of industry standards and best practices.
It is the mission of Ottawa’s ECA is to serve, promote, and improve the electrical contracting industry while ensuring the health and safety of every one of our members and their employees, in the greater Ottawa area.
This course is for those who want an in-depth understanding of first aid.
The online is theory-based and information is conveyed to participants outside of the classroom through an online component, which allows for the in-class component to concentrate on skill development and application of theory.
Our courses are in compliance with provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and include the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.
The Basic First Aid course meets the requirement of the Nova Scotia Department of Labour and Advanced Education and CSA Standards.
In order to further enhance the safety of children in foster care, certification in first aid and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is now mandatory for all Saskatchewan foster parents.
