This workshop meets the requirements of workplace safety and health legislation and is intended for workers with limited or no previous experience as flagpersons, or as the re-certification of a current flagperson.
The course will provide information on employer and worker responsibilities while equipping trainees with practical procedures to control traffic.
This includes safe flagging, positioning, and tools to communicate effectively with workers and the general public on Manitoba roadways.
The training consists of a classroom theory portion as well as a practical portion. There are two tests, written and practical, that each must be successfully passed as a requirement to be a flagperson.

CSAM is financed by Manitoba contractors through a surcharge on a small percentage of contractors’ assessment premiums, collected by the Workers Compensation Board, as well as by the premiums paid by associate members, and revenue generated from products and services.
There are two acceptable methods for Respirator Fit Testing according to the CSA Z94. 4-11. Both a Qualitative and Quantitative method require a trained professional to conduct an in person assessment and training on the selection, care and use of designated respirators.
Located to our Concord Office, is our Occupational Health and Safety Training Center. We are proud to have achieved recognition from the Chief Prevention Officer, who has certified RMG as an approved training provider.
Our Confined Space Entry training course has been developed for those with an occupational requirement to be trained to safely perform work in confined spaces.
The Lift Truck Operator Training Program consists of a 4-hour classroom training session presented in an interactive format which covers all aspects of lift truck safety and operation.
This course is 5 days for students who wish to operate a basic 0-8 ton mobile crane and is in accordance with Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development (MAESD) (Program P930030) pre-requisite requirements.
