Exams preparation and regular concert performances are seen as a highly important part of our pupils’ education. Priority is given in creating an artistic personality for each young musician.

Today at EMS - Parnell Academy pupils are given an opportunity of mastering Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Flute, Recorder, Clarinet, Oboe, Bassoon, Saxophone, Trumpet, Piano, Accordion, Guitar, as well as having group lessons in Music Theory, Sol-fa training and Chamber Ensembles
The Upper Hutt Music Centre has been providing music lessons to primary and intermediate school children for more than 40 years. Our popular Saturday morning music program will help your child discover the joy of playing a musical instrument.
Flute classes are offered by Whangarei Youth Music. Good communication and input from the student is important to an enjoyable experience.Â

You usually need to be 9 – 10 years old to play flute, because they are quite long and may become heavy for a small child.
Learning through CSM means that students will have the unique opportunity to try the piccolo, alto flute and bass flute.
