ReMi Academy was founded in 2013 as the Institute of Musical Art, by Alireza Fakharian, the piano and vocal teacher, and is one of the most respected music institutions in Montreal.

To achieve this goal, we try to hire educated and experienced teachers to lead you in the most effective direction of the long path of being a real artist.

From private lessons for all ages to group lesson programs for children in our fully equipped classrooms, ReMi Academy will find the way to bring the love of music into your life.

Located at NDG in Montreal, the academy offers music classes during weekends and weekdays. Currently more than 300 students from all over Great Montreal are enrolled at ReMi, where they enjoy learning music in a friendly environment and could also be prepared for examinations (Royal Conservatory of Music), concerts and auditions.

The academy also offers annual and seasonal concerts in order for students to show off in one of the biggest halls in Montreal, perform their best and receive the certificate of achievement.

Teacher's Experience
Vanessa Ascher has been playing the flute since she was only 6 years old. She studied at Vanier College with Heather Howes, and at Concordia University with Liselyn Adams and Guy Pelletier. She performed as a soloist with the Orchestre Symphonique de L'Ile in 2016 as a winner of the Concordia Concerto Competition, and has performed with many ensembles, including the Orchestra Philharmonique Équitable and the Grand Ensemble de Flutes de Montreal, as well as premiering several pieces at the 2019 Domaine Forget New Music program. She has also created, directed, performed in, and composed music for a multi-disciplinary performance entitled Via Liber Animum in 2017. She has 10 years of flute teaching experience with students of all ages and levels.
