Forklift Training

The course will first go over these main facets of forklift operations: The five hazardous waste operations:

• Applicable Regulations
• Types of Forklifts
• Main parts of a Forklift
• Understanding Forklift Safety
• Fuels and Batteries

Once a good understanding of the above topics are gained more hands-on type of learning will take place:

• Pre-use inspection
• Safe operating procedures
• Parking/shut-down procedures

After hands-on training has taken place, using a forklift in a real-world type of environment will assess the students’ abilities. Following the evaluation, trainees are given a summary of what they did well and what they need to still work on in regards to forklift driving, and given the opportunity to ask questions or give comments on any phase of the forklift training program.
