FREE SAICA CA2025 Competency Framework / PVAA Changes Information Session
Effective from 1 January 2024, SAICA have reduced the number of learning outcomes / competencies SAICA trainees need to achieve by the end of their training contracts. Formerly, there was a total of 95 Professional Values Attitudes and Acumens (PVAAs) learning outcomes that a trainee had to demonstrate at SAICA required levels for sign-off; this has now been reduced to 51 PVAAs in total.
Some of these changes to the PVAAs will immediately affect your trainees as they have been implemented on the Electronic Assessment Tool (EAT) from 1 January 2024, whilst other changes to PVAAs are yet to be implemented.
The following will be discussed during this session:
• The nature of changes made to the PVAAs
• Which PVAAs have been changed
• How PVAAs have or have not been implemented on EAT
• Which PVAAs have not yet been implemented on EAT
• If not yet implemented, by when will they be implemented
• What it means for your current SAICA training plans
• What needs to be done to your Template 2 – Training Office PVAA Examples, and
• What becomes of SAICA’s Guide no. 3 containing generic examples of how to demonstrate the PVAAs.
The purpose of these free sessions is to get your training office ready for the impact of these changes to the PVAAs and to share with you the final list of 51 PVAA learning outcomes.
