Testing involves the use of electronic test apparatus. The competency requires participants to interpret readings and take actions based on the interpretation. This course is suitable for anyone who requires to gas test the atmospheric content of an area.
Course Content
The program addresses the following:
Preparation for gas testing
Identifying hazards from possible atmosphere contaminants
Testing gas using testing equipment
Interpreting gas readings and monitor as required
Maintaining gas testing equipment and records
Inspection and fault find gas testing equipment
Assessment
Knowledge based questionnaires and practical demonstration
Pre Requisities
Must have basic English literacy skills

This training is suited to all personnel required to wear respiratory protective equipment because they are working in a confined space or an irrespirable atmosphere.
