A gel nail polish treatment is a popular cosmetic procedure used to enhance the appearance and durability of nails. Gel polish is a type of nail polish that is cured or hardened using a UV or LED light, resulting in a longer-lasting and chip-resistant finish compared to traditional nail polish.

The process of a gel nail polish treatment typically involves several steps. First, the nails are prepared by removing any existing polish, filing and shaping the nails, and gently pushing back the cuticles. It is important to create a clean and smooth surface for the gel polish to adhere to.

Once the nails are prepared, a base coat of gel polish is applied. This base coat helps to protect the natural nail and provides a foundation for the coloured polish. The nails are then placed under a UV or LED light for a specific amount of time to cure the base coat.

After the base coat is cured, one or two coats of coloured gel polish are applied to achieve the desired shade. Each layer is cured under the light before applying the next coat. Gel polish comes in a wide range of colours, from subtle neutrals to vibrant colours, allowing individuals to express their personal style.

Once the coloured layers are applied and cured, a top coat of gel polish is added to seal and protect the colour. The top coat also gives the nails a glossy finish. After the final layer is cured, the nails are wiped with a cleanser to remove any sticky residue left behind by the gel polish.
