This course is designed for students with little or no prior knowledge of German. The course introduces the fundamentals of the German language, including pronunciation.
In this course, the student will be able to develop socially and culturally appropriate proficiency in interpersonal, interpretive, and presentational modes at the novice high level in German. Prerequisite: GER 1120 with a grade of "C" or higher.
Participants work with their classmates and the instructor during class towards developing their beginning listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in an immersion setting; all class activities are conducted primarily in German.
