Course Details

This is a postgraduate AQF level-8 qualification for registered nurses who have completed a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent Or a three-year diploma in nursing.

This is one of the most popular courses in IHM; hundreds of overseas nurses who have completed this course have met the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency’s Australian nursing registration qualification eligibility requirements to work as a registered nurse in Australia by completing either the previous EPIQ-RN bridging program or the new nursing registration process for Internationally Qualified Registered Nurses, called Outcomes-based Assessment (OBA).

In Australia and across the world, the demand for postgraduate certified nurses is rising. With a Graduate Certificate in Nursing, you may improve your nursing career while contributing to the promotion of health, the prevention of disease, and the care of all individuals.

The program is a generic Graduate Certificate in Nursing designed to prepare registered nurses for entry to Australia’s Master of Nursing program. You will gain strong analytical skills and the capacity to conduct thorough patient assessments throughout the course.

This course is available online as well as on-campus. Our online course has been thoughtfully developed to accommodate the hectic schedules of nurses working across the world. On-campus delivery is available only in IHM’s Perth campus in Western Australia.

You will earn an internationally recognised Australian Government TEQSA authorised and qualified certificate upon completion of the course. If you hold a three-year diploma in nursing, this course will assist you in upgrading your qualification from AQF / NZQF level 6 to AQF / NZQF level 8 postgraduate nursing.

Please note that this course does not lead directly to nurse or midwife registration in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, or Ireland. Studying this course will assist you in upgrading your qualification, and you will be needed to pass the applicable Nursing registration bodies’ registration exams or complete bridging programs, as well as meet other requirements, in order to get a nursing registration.
