These courses offer students who have not previously had the opportunity to study Ancient Greek intensive training designed to bring them from complete beginners to a point where they are able to read simple texts.
These courses are six weeks long, with the option to study either the first three-week block (for absolute beginners) or the second three-week block (for students at the intermediate level).

Our evening classes introduce you to the the Modern Greek language in the most accessible way for learners.
Greek language course is offered by The Language Centre for all skill level. We have courses from beginners to very advanced students, taught by experienced native speakers or teachers who have spent part of their lives in one of the countries where the language is spoken.
The aim of every language course at the University is to enable you to communicate in your target language (TL) at that particular level and in your particular area of interest.
Our Greek speakers, fully qualified to teach their native tongue, can train you and, if need be, the rest of your group at a time that is suitable to you, at your home or place of work.
When trying to learn a new language, it always helps to have a teacher that is focused on your goals. If you are trying to learn Greek so that you can earn points at the negotiating table, it would help if your teacher was ensuring you know the best ways to sound poised and confident in Greek.
