Barre chords are introduced, and Arpeggio techniques will be mastered. The repertoire in this level leads directly to the ABRSM grade 1 and 2 preparation.

Accidentals & Chromatic Scale
Half barre chords.
Chord changes. Enharmonics.
Arpeggio techniques. PIMA and PAMI.
Simple fingerpicking.
Tones and Semitones.
Key Signatures. Circle of Fifths.
Dynamics and deviation.
Scales: from Modes to Blues.
Ties and slurs. Legato and Staccato.
Dotted rhythms. Irregular time signatures.
Tempo markings. Second Position.
Chord construction and chord progressions: I, IV, V, I.
