For new learners on the guitar, CRISTOFORI recommends starting with the classical guitar. It provides a basis for all guitar learners to develop a foundation for techniques using an ever-expanding repertoire of skills.
Integrated with music theory, learners gain essential techniques as an excellent musical foundation for classical or contemporary pathways
Close collaboration with ABRSM, the world’s leading and accredited exam body for classical music
Continuity of Success – over 40% of our classical music teachers have at least 5 years of teaching experience, serving as a brilliant resource and inspiration for the younger generation
At CRISTOFORI, we have created the Whole Person educational approach, which focuses on three aspects: academic skills, learning skills and the awareness of the learning process itself. In other words, our students are trained not to be spoon-fed and seek knowledge actively. They learn how to listen, learn and organise information into knowledge. As such, students will gain analytical skills, concentration and abstract thinking skills.
The core element in our Whole Person education philosophy is humanity education. We aim to cultivate educated and gracious young adults through cultural and social events such as our major annual events, the GIL program and numerous community involvement projects. We seek to nurture a generation of proactive, positive, creative and spiritually rich citizens.
In this Level, you will learn higher Music Theory which will allow you to understand the relationship between chromatic music notes and major scales and how they are used in practice.
In this level, we will investigate the advanced music theory and repertoire in more extensive detail and explore the way it relates to classical guitar playing.
This basic class follows the recommendations of child development researchers - grouping children of a variety of ages because this fosters natural, family-style learning.
By the end of this course, you will have a greater feel for your instrument and will develop your own unique sound and style as a guitarist.
