The guitar is one of the most popular instruments to play for all ages. Although we recommend children start one-on-one lessons at seven and a half years old.

Playing the guitar has so many benefits.
Our students get huge personal gratification as they can master the guitar quite quickly.
In fact, after just the first lesson our students are able to play a recognisable tune. After the first term, they should be able to strum away to six tunes. And after a year, they’ll be able to strum along to their favourite music tunes.
Parents often tell us they can also see the positive social impact it has on their kids as they’re acknowledged and respected by their peers. They also love having music in their home as their children gain confidence and play for friends and family. Many of our students also join bands – which really boosts their confidence.
We’ve been teaching music lessons in Auckland since 1981.
We’re passionate about what we do and the benefits that learning to play a musical instrument provides.
Our specialist lessons are for children as young as 3-and-a-half. We offer one-on-one lessons for children over 7, as well as for teens and adults. These lessons are adapted to each student’s ability and to the style of music they’d like to learn.
We offer music lessons designed for fun or to help prepare students for taking an exam.
We help students prepare for internationally recognised music exams from organisations like Rockschool, the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, and Trinity College
When it comes to teaching music, particularly to children, there are some things we firmly believe:
Electric, acoustic, classical or not sure. We have guitar tutors who can teach all styles of guitar in all musical genres.
Guitar students should be coordinated enough to operate both hands independently. Students will learn plucking skills, how to read guitar music and some chords.
Learning an instrument is the brains equivalent of a full body work out. The earlier you start the bigger the benefits. These include increased memory, problem solving and literacy.
We offer one-on-one guitar and piano lessons with individualised teaching so you can learn at your own pace with your teacher’s undivided attention.
This class is suitable for students who would like to read music for the guitar. The eventual goal will be to play solo classical guitar pieces and play in a guitar ensemble – this being a fun way to learn how to read music and play the instrument.
